Common questions about rewiring.

How long does a full house rewire take?
Most standard homes across Liverpool and Merseyside are completed in a single day. Larger or more complex properties may take longer — we'll always tell you upfront at the free survey stage.
Do I need to move out while the rewire is done?
In most cases, no. The power will be off during the work, but the job is typically finished within the day. We'd recommend not having young children at home on the day, but most homeowners stay in the property.
Will you make good after the rewire?
We work as tidily as possible and clean up fully before we leave. Cable routes may require minor plaster making good — we'll explain exactly what to expect at the survey stage so there are no surprises.
Are you certified and insured?
Yes — we are NAPIT registered, JIB and City & Guilds approved, fully insured with public liability cover, and all work meets the latest UK electrical regulations. You'll receive a full EICR certificate on completion.
What does a full rewire include?
A full rewire replaces all the cables, sockets, switches, and light fittings throughout your home, and installs a new modern consumer unit (fusebox) with RCD protection. Everything is tested and certified before we leave.
Can I get an electric car charger fitted at the same time?
Yes — it makes sense to have an EV charger installed as part of the rewire while everything is open. We can incorporate a dedicated EV charging point into the job. Just mention it when you book your free survey.
Do I need an EICR certificate?
An EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) is legally required for all rented properties and strongly recommended for homeowners — especially in older properties. All our rewires include a full EICR certificate as standard.
How much does a rewire cost in Liverpool?
